life is short.
so we must spend more time talking serious stuff.
i have thought of a lot of serious topics. but somehow they dont stay in my head for too long.
anyway heres some weird advice frm the wise old sage joel.

You tell WOS Joel: So in the end everything is ok.
WOS Joel: So if everything is not ok, its not the end.

Think about that HARD for a while, i have found many applications for this mantra the WOS has given me.

Remember the 'Is-it-half-filled-or-half-empty-glass-test'?
Well here's more on that...

The optimist says the glass is half full.
The pessimist says the glass is half empty.
The philosopher says that the glass is transparent for a reason.
The cynics say why bother?
The president of the united states would call it an axis of evil and declare a war on the glass of water.
The marketing excutive would bottle the water.
Malaysia would rasie the price of water.
The glass would say that everyone else is water.
The water would say that everyone else is glass.
Homer Simpson would just want a beer anyway.
The New Yorker would exhibit it as modern art.
The Isreali would say that the Palestines took away the top half.
and vice versa.
The Japanese would come up with a hundred different products that mimic the glass of water.
The Indonesian would waste it away.
The Singaporen would form a committee to decide on the entire matter.
I would just want to drink water.

With Colin Powell gone, the White House looks forward to a slightly less stringent approach to invasion rationale. And, according to this list we found floating around, they're taking advantage of that:

Country -- Reason to Invade

Iran --- Part of the Axis of Evil.
Syria -- Harbors terrorists.
Kyrgyzstan -- Too much like Kazakhstan.
North Korea -- Not allowed when on Atkins diet.
Egypt -- The pyramid is speaking to me.
Canada -- Mmmm....bacon....
Ukraine -- Started that whole cellophane wrapping of CDs and we hate that.
Thailand -- Well, now that Ashcroft's stopped spending the weekends there...
The Falklands -- Dirty-sounding name.
Lichtenstein -- President does not believe this country exists.
National Geographic Society -- On every map, no apparent sovereign.
California -- Why not?
Poland -- Don't forget Poland.

being hospitalised is sometimes a blessing in disguise.
what's it's guise?
well... first of all you get a one month MC (till the 29th of Dec)
that gives you the freedom ofchoosing the different activities that you really want to
go to and those that you.. dont't.
and after reading thru every single word printed on 2 copies of TIME, 1 copy of LIME and another of 8days, u're pretty well-read in the ramfications of Araft's death, the assult on Fallujah and the new book of Fann Wong, among other useless bits of information.
you also get a lot of pity votes (for what i have no idea)
hey everyone go check out mudcraft at www.mudcraft.com
and here's a visualisation of a computer computing all the moves at the start of a chess game for all you roys (chess freaks) out there.

The machine's thoughts, opening
The machine has many choices, with few forced moves, and future lines of play cover the board...
ayia.. just go visit the site here http://turbulence.org/spotlight/thinking/gallery.html

it's the first nice thing i've ever done for roy lau.
all useless bits of info frm www.screenhead.com

Im back everyone.
As some of you would know, I was down with dengue fever reccently. I was admitted to The Communacable Disease Centre. its really a place where they store all the druggies that have IV diseases. or SARS patients or bird flu people. evidently, dengue fever is just as contageious as all these illnesses.
The CDC is really part of Tan Tock Seng. its also the oldest ward in singapore, like the doctor that sent me there commented. i got sent that becuase my platelet levels were down frm a healthy 300 something to 126 and then to 70. so i opted for a B2 ward and got admitted to ward 72 down the road from soc j. (its just that after soo many days in there, u kinda get used to the weird terms they use).the doctor that sent me in had actually a very high-twang nasal voice. like he was playing his voice like an instrument, almost coming across as a lady. after being in there for so many days, i have made many observations. one of them is this: All doctors are either gay, indian ladies, or look like complete nerds or have generic surnames like 'tan' and 'beng' (my dentist).(im sorry joel, ure in all these catogories.dont be a medical researcher)
so they chucked me into the system and i became a statistic. like those in the papers where they show the general increase of dengue patients or something. i rest knowing that i have contributed by one case in this. so exciting.
anyway, i think ill stop here for now.

something was quite ironic in school today. cant quite remember what it was. anyway, i got 14 pts with 2 69s and 2 74s. meaning i could have gotten 11 pts, up there with the big boys. i really didnt study hard this time, just leading myself blindly into believing i was seeing how i would fare if i laxed up( yes, i know the EOYs are not really good to experiment with)
